It is open daily from 9:00 to 17:00 except for Mondays when it is closed.
To ensure a high quality experience, all visits must be booked in advance online with tickets being purchased on-site on the scheduled visit day. Our online booking system operates 24/7 and provides booking services ranging from the 20th of each month to the end of the next month. Please note we don’t accept same-day reservations.
If making reservations for individuals, the maximum allowable is 9 people. If you wish to make reservations for 10 or more people, please reserve them as a group. The maximum group size is 45 people in total.

Visitors can purchase catalogs and guide books in the gift shop and bookstore. Our guide map is available at the Information Desk and exhibition brochures are available in each exhibition hall.
If you can’t get to the museum on schedule, please cancel online before 12pm at least one day prior to your visit day. If you don’t cancel online in advance and fail to show up three times or more, we will suspend your right to make online bookings for three month.
We offer free admission on the following days: New Year's Day (Jan. 1), the Lantern Festival, International Museum Day (May 18), World Tourism Day (Sep. 27), Double Tenth Day (Oct. 10), Taiwan Culture Day (Oct 17). (Special Exhibitions excluded)
Depending on the number of people lined up on-site, we can grant late arrivals up to 20 minutes leeway from their scheduled arrival time. Note: Walking from the parking lot to the entrance hall takes 15-20 minutes. We advise you to take this and the route and traffic situation into careful account and be sure to arrive early.
1.Illicit or dangerous items, food, liquid, bottles and cans are strictly prohibited inside the exhibition halls.
2.Guided tours or interpretation services without the audio tour system are strictly prohibited.
3.No photography or video shoots are allowed inside the exhibition halls.
4.Pets (except for guide dogs), oversized items or toys are prohibited inside the exhibition halls.
5.Backpacks, travel bags, luggage (i.e. accompanying belongings larger than a piece of A4 paper), and the like, must be deposited in the cloakroom.
